In 2014, Gridlock Civil was awarded the redevelopment of St Peters Civic Plaza and Avenue of Honour following its success with other streetscape projects. Works involved demolition of existing kerbs, roads and infrastructure. Construction consisted of reinstating blue stone and concrete kerbing, stormwater, underground powering, street lighting, granite pavement roadway/footpath, rain gardens and a water feature. This project had a strict completion date for the unveiling of the ANZAC Memorial and water feature by government officials. Gridlock Civil faced a number of challenges due to the location, site access, local traders and residents however the project was delivered on time, within budget and exceeded the client’s expectations. Gridlock Civil was also featured in an article in the Civil Contractors Federation Magazine for its commitment to excellence throughout this project.
